The quest for faith is a lunar endeavor
Not warmer and brighter but darker and wetter
I trudge and I slip as I reach out for daylight
But grasp only fistfuls of night.

I wonder is doubt the way of faith sometimes
I try to move it aside, but never leave it behind
Balancing the weight of the state I'm in
On the head of a pin.

But I'm tired of being afraid
That I might slip away
Some day walk away
And fall down...
